As a Fleetlery Courier, you play an important role in delivering great service, keeping customers happy, and representing our company on the road.

This guide provides everything you need to get started smoothly, including:
● What is expected from you
● How to stay safe
● How payment works
● What to do in emergencies
● Who to contact when you need support

Essential Safety Information (Most Important)

Emergency Procedure

Your safety always comes first.
● Call 112 immediately in emergencies.
● Then notify Live Operations Support as soon as possible.
● Stay in a safe place until help arrives.


Accidents (During Work or Commuting)

When reporting an accident, please include:
● Exact street name & location
● Date & time
● Injured body part(s)
● Detailed description of what happened
● Doctor’s medical statement (Sick note must be marked as work accident)
● Accident Insurance: BG Verkehr

Notify HR + Live Operations Support immediately after the incident.


Your Work Responsibilities

Health & Safety Guidelines

General Safety

● Follow all German traffic laws.
● Avoid distractions while driving/riding.
● Stay hydrated and rest when needed.
● Mandatory 30-minute break if your shift exceeds 6 hours.

Vehicle Safety

Cars & Mopeds
● Always wear your seatbelt.
● Follow speed limits.
● Perform regular basic maintenance checks.

Bikes & E-Bikes
● Helmet required at all times.
● Use lights & reflective clothing, especially at night.
● Check tires, brakes, and chain before each shift (mandatory).
● E-bikes must not exceed 25 km/h.


Food Safety

● Use insulated delivery bags.
● Never open, alter, or tamper with food packaging.
● Report damaged or delayed orders to Live Operations Support immediately.


Conflict or Unsafe Situations

● Stay calm and avoid confrontation.
● If you feel unsafe, call 112 or contact Live Operations Support.


Behaviour & Conduct

Professional Behaviour

● Be polite, respectful, and helpful.
● No alcohol or drugs while on duty.
● Keep your uniform and equipment clean and presentable.

Compliance

● Follow delivery procedures and all safety protocols.
● Report unsafe behaviour or conditions immediately.

Privacy & Data Protection

● Handle customer and company data responsibly.
● Always comply with GDPR and internal data protection rules.


Payment, Payroll & Benefits

Payment Schedule

You are paid monthly, on or before the 15th.
If the 15th falls on a weekend or public holiday, payment is made on the previous business day.

Fixed pay including distance fees and guaranteed components

Total hours worked and your hourly wage

Tips

Tips received directly from customers

Delivery Bonuses

Weather, restaurant, or performance-based bonuses (if applicable)

All payments go directly to your registered bank account.


Important Notes

● Keep your banking and tax information updated.
● Taxes and social contributions are deducted automatically.
● Report any payment issues to HR within 7 days of receiving your payslip.


Insurance & Sick Leave

Employee Insurance Coverage

As a Fleetlery courier, you are automatically enrolled in:
● Statutory health insurance
● Accident insurance (Berufsgenossenschaft)
● Pension & unemployment insurance

Coverage applies during working hours and commuting directly to/from deliveries.

Working Students

Working students must arrange and pay for their own health insurance.


Sick Leave

● Inform Live Operations Support or HR at least 2 hours before your shift.
● A medical certificate (AU) is required after 3 days of illness.
● Sick pay follows statutory German regulations.


Fines & Legal Compliance

Fines & Parking Tickets

● Always follow traffic and parking rules.
● Fines caused by personal negligence must be paid by the employee.
